Excellent steak & bourbon with Hawaii Meals & Wine Competition

Honolulu (KHON2) – Perfect Steak and Bourbon headline October 29th with the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival headlining the upcoming Cook and Drink on October 29th.

Chef Lance Kosaka from 53 By the Sea teaches people how to cook the perfect steak, while cocktail artist Jen Ackrill mixes two cocktails to pair with his dish. It’s a reunion for the duo who worked together on Sky and Top of Waikiki. The first drink will be the bourbon striker Maker’s Mark® Highball. Another is called “On the Mark” with apricot liqueur, Gran Classico bitter, peach bitter and grapefruit peel. Both are served with On The Rock craft cocktail ice cream.

“I’m a partner of the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival for a virtual Cook & Drink Along,” says Ackrill. “Since COVID-19, the in-person festival events have been delayed until November, but they created this virtual food and drink series that people can make at home.

Living808 host Tannya Joaquin will moderate the Zoom event and ask attendees questions to Chef Lance and Jen Ackrill.
