Former University of Hawaii quarterback Max Wittek has reached a free agent deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Wittek, who played one season at UH after joining USC in August 2014, was not selected in this weekend’s NFL draft. But 10 teams had shown interest in Wittek, who is 6-foot-3,233 pounds and has a strong right arm.

Wittek suffered injuries to both knees in eight of 13 games last season. He had a successful right knee surgery in November and did well on UH Pro Day in Azusa, California last month.
