A low surface with storm winds creates moderate to large swell directed towards the Hawaiian Islands. Expect those swell to hit the islands on Sunday and continue building along the north and east facing coast through Tuesday. A high surf advisory is likely Monday through at least Tuesday. In addition to this swell, trade winds will lash on the weekend and through Monday, at the same time that this swell arrives. Sea conditions get very rough and dangerously choppy over the weekend and early next week and will persist until the middle of the week.
