A long-lasting south-southwest wave will create increased surf along the south-facing banks through Wednesday. That south-southwest swell will gradually subside from Thursday through next weekend. Small swells are expected in the northwest earlier this week, which will likely keep the surf along most of the north-facing coastline just above typical flat summer conditions through Wednesday. The breezy trade winds from the east will also produce slightly elevated, choppy surf on the east-facing banks this evening. As the trades weaken, the surf along the east facing coast can be expected to gradually decline from Tuesday through next weekend.
