The stronger trade winds cause the surf to increase along the east coast. Expect a High Surf Advisory to be issued for most east facing coasts starting tonight or Monday. A small north-northwest swell and a reinforcing north swell are expected to spread over the area later and tonight. These waves are likely to maintain medium surfing heights along most of the north and west facing coastlines through Monday. As these north-northwest and north waves gradually decrease, expect relatively small surf on most of the north-west facing banks from Tuesday through next weekend. Small, sustained south-southwest waves will maintain a small background surf on most south-facing banks through Friday.
