Hawaii COVID totals stay hovering round 100

The Hawaiian Department of Health reported 101 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday. The nationwide total is now 31,270. No new COVID-related deaths have been reported.

According to DOH statistics, eleven new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Saturday. A DOH card is available on the department’s website and records cases by district on all islands.

The state’s two-week average is 81 new cases per day with a test positivity rate of 1.5%.

The number of cases from island to island is as follows:

O’ahu: 24,041
Maui: 3,241
Hawaii: 2,632
Kaua’i: 200
Lana’i: 111
Moloka’i: 35
Outstanding: 0
Outside the state: 1,010

Since the pandemic began, a total of 2,076 people have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection, while at least 474 people have died.
