Hawaii stories 56 new COVID instances, no extra deaths

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii reported no additional deaths and 56 new COVID cases on Tuesday, bringing the nationwide total of infections since the pandemic started to 36,332.

Of the new cases, 30 were in Oahu, 19 in Island of Hawaii, three in Maui, and three in Kauai. One case was diagnosed out of state.

Meanwhile, the Hawaiian death toll from the virus stands at 500.

There have been 757 cases in the past 14 days.

So far, the state said it had administered 1,538,504 doses of vaccine. Around 52% of all residents are fully vaccinated, while 59% have received at least one dose.
