Hawaii Stories 571 New COVID Circumstances; no further deaths; 62% totally vaccinated

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii reported 571 new COVID infections and no further deaths on Monday.

The Hawaiian death toll from the virus stands at 564.

From Monday’s new cases:

  • 359 were on Oahu
  • 107 on the Island of Hawaii
  • 79 on Maui
  • 23 reported by the state in Kauai
  • two on lanai

An out of state resident was also diagnosed.

The total number of cases in Hawaii since the pandemic began has risen to 56,670. There have been 9,389 new cases in the past 14 days, according to state health officials.

The state does not report the vaccination status of people with COVID on a daily basis.

About 62% of the state’s population is fully vaccinated, with 70.3% receiving at least one dose.
