HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii reported 56 new COVID-19 infections and one more death on Wednesday.
The state’s death toll stands at 517.
Of the new cases, 34 were in Oahu, nine in Island of Hawaii, and four in Maui. Nine residents outside of the state were also diagnosed.
The total number of infections since the pandemic began has now risen to 37,758.
In the past 14 days, there have been 569 new cases across the country, according to the state health department.
Meanwhile, the state said 57.9% of the Hawaiian population are now fully vaccinated, while 63% have received at least one dose.
