New collection on KHON2, showcasing Hawaii’s culinary neighborhood and tradition

Honolulu (KHON2) – “Taste Our Love For Hawaii” is an original series on KHON2 that explores the natural beauty of the Hawaiian Islands from the perspective of a chef.

From chefs Alan Wong and Roy and Denise Yamaguchi, executive producer of the show and CEO of the Hawai’i Food and Wine Festival, Taste Our Love For Hawaii will give KHON2 viewers an in-depth look at the Hawaiian culinary scene, a new perspective Chef Denise Yamaguchi is looking forward to meeting the people of Hawaii.

“I’m excited to share the stories of Hawaii and its people through a local chef. Each episode tells a personal story of a chef while showing the variety of agricultural resources and products that are grown, caught and raised here on our islands, ”says Denise Yamaguchi, Hashi founder and co-founder of the Hawai’i Food and Wine Festival.

In addition to her new project on KHON2 and the co-founder of the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival, Yamaguchi founded Hashi, a digital platform sharing culinary stories from across the state.

Yamaguchi says, “The great thing about Hashi is that we not only highlight chefs, we highlight everyone in the culinary community. People will learn about the stories of mixologists, winemakers and more. “

The first episode of “Taste Our Love For Hawaii” will air on Thursday, October 14th at 7pm on KHON2.
